Ageing doesn't occur evenly across the face.
For some people, the first noticeable change is flattening through the cheeks. For others, it's hollowing at the temples, deeper folds around the mouth, a less defined jawline or the feeling that the lower face has started to become heavier.
Strategically placed filler can restore support in areas where it has genuinely been lost.
The objective isn't to create an entirely new facial shape.
It's often to restore proportions that were already yours.
This is why patients can sometimes have several millilitres of appropriately placed filler across the face without looking obviously “filled”. The product has been distributed according to anatomy rather than concentrated unnecessarily into one feature.

What is Dermal Filler?
Dermal fillers are soft injectable gels consisting of stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance found naturally found in the body that we loose with age. HA keeps the skin hydrated, gives it elasticity and volume. We use fillers to restore volume, contour specific features and smooth unwanted static lines and wrinkles.
What Happens During My Dermal Filler Treatment?
Your appointment begins with a full consultation and facial assessment.
We assess your anatomy, proportions, existing volume, areas of structural change and how your features relate to one another.
We'll then discuss what you're hoping to achieve whether filler is the best way of achieving it.
The appropriate filler product and injection technique are selected according to the area and treatment objective.
Depending upon the area, treatment may be performed using a fine needle, cannula or a combination of techniques.
You will be able to see an immediate change, although swelling means the final result should not be judged immediately after treatment.
What Filler Treatments Do You Offer?

At Resolve Aesthetics, our philosophy is centred around restoration, rejuvenation and natural enhancement. We use dermal filler to restore what has been lost, improve facial balance and subtly enhance your existing features, never to unnecessarily or unnaturally augment the face.
Where previous filler is poorly positioned, migrated or contributing to an undesirable result, we will not simply add more product in an attempt to disguise it. Where appropriate, existing hyaluronic acid filler should be fully dissolved and the tissues allowed to settle before creating a considered new treatment plan.
The aim is never simply more filler. It is the right treatment, in the right place, for a result that still looks like you.
How Does it Work?
Dermal filler is injected to either 'fill 'and smooth deep lines or to contour and enhance particular features of the face such as the cheeks, lips, nose, chin and jaw.
Not all filler treatments change your features, restoring fat pad volume that is lost with age can simply help rejuvenate the face by reversing the signs of ageing.
Aftercare
You will be fully briefed on aftercare at your appointment, it's important that you follow this advice to get the best results from your treatment. Longevity varies according to the product, treatment area, quantity used, injection depth, facial movement and individual metabolism. You can expect an approximate range of 6–24 months, depending upon the product and individual. We cannot be held responsible for the length of time you as an individual process the filler.
Who Can't Have Dermal Fillers?
Dermal filler isn't appropriate for everybody.
Your medical history, medications, previous aesthetic treatments and the condition of the proposed treatment area will be assessed during consultation.
Treatment is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding or in patients under 18, and active infection or cold sores around the proposed injection site may mean treatment needs to be postponed. Your existing page identifies these among its contraindications.
