What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, encouraging collagen and elastin production, which helps improve skin texture, tone, and elasticity. At Resolve Aesthetics we use the renowned Dermapen 4 for our micro needling treatments.
Treatment Procedure

A consultation will determine your skin’s needs and treatment goals, ensuring the best approach for your concerns. The skin is cleansed and prepared for a safe and comfortable treatment. The Dermapen4 device is used to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin on targeted areas of the face, décolletage, or hands, stimulating collagen production. Depending on the treatment goals, either a peel or exosomes are applied, before a post procedure mask and your complimentary red light therapy to further support healing and enhance the results.
What Microneedling Treatments Do You Offer?
Microneedling for Anti-Aging & Skin Rejuvenation: Designed to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone and texture for a youthful glow.
Microtox: This advanced treatment combines collagen-boosting microneedling with micro-dosed Botox to minimize fine lines, refine pores, and achieve a smooth, rejuvenated complexion. Perfect for addressing wrinkles and creating a refreshed look with no downtime.
Add-ons for Enhanced Results:
Exosome Therapy: Exosomes are small vesicles naturally derived from stem cells that contain growth factors, proteins, and genetic material. When applied topically after microneedling, exosomes accelerate skin repair by delivering essential nutrients to the skin’s deeper layers. This promotes faster healing, enhances collagen and elastin production, and improves skin texture and tone. Studies show that exosomes can significantly boost the regeneration process, making the treatment more effective for reducing fine lines, pigmentation, and scars.
Radiofrequency (RF): When combined with microneedling, radiofrequency (RF) energy penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. RF uses heat energy to tighten the skin and improve elasticity, making it an excellent addition for enhancing the results of microneedling. The RF energy stimulates the deeper layers of skin, resulting in firmer and more youthful-looking skin. It also helps to reduce sagging and fine lines, promoting a lifted, smoother complexion. The combination of RF and microneedling ensures optimal skin rejuvenation by working on both surface-level texture and deeper structural support.
Target Areas: Face, décolletage, and hands.
How Does it Work?
The Dermapen4 utilises advanced technology with 16 needles, creating 1,920 micro-holes per second, 47% more than previous devices. These micro-injuries trigger the skin’s natural healing process, promoting the production of fresh collagen and elastin, which leads to smoother, firmer, and rejuvenated skin. Dermapen4’s precision ensures that the treatment is tailored to the unique needs of your skin, addressing fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven texture.
Aftercare
After your microneedling treatment, it’s important to follow proper aftercare to support your skin’s healing and enhance results. Here’s what you can expect and how to care for your skin after the procedure:
-
Avoid sun exposure: For the first 24-48 hours, avoid direct sun exposure to protect the freshly treated skin.
-
Moisturise: Keep the treated area hydrated with a recommended product to help soothe and repair the skin.
-
No makeup: Refrain from wearing makeup for 24 hours post-treatment to allow the skin to breathe and heal.
-
Avoid exfoliating: Wait 3-5 days before using exfoliating products to prevent irritation.
-
Use gentle skincare: Stick to mild, non-irritating skincare products for the first week following your treatment.
