Anti Wrinkle Injections

Look fresher. Softer. Still completely yourself.

The aim of a beautifully performed anti-wrinkle treatment isn't to make your face look frozen.

It's to soften the lines and expressions that can make us look more tired, stressed or aged than we feel, while maintaining the movement and character that makes your face yours.

At Resolve Aesthetics, our anti-wrinkle treatments use carefully placed botulinum toxin to temporarily reduce the activity of selected facial muscles. This can soften existing expression lines while helping to prevent repetitive movement from allowing those lines to become more deeply etched into the skin.

Every face moves differently.

That's why every treatment at Resolve begins with an individual assessment of your facial anatomy, muscle strength, natural asymmetries and the way your face moves before we decide where, and how much to treat.

Natural movement. Softer lines. A fresher version of you.

Why Choose Resolve Aesthetics for Anti-Wrinkle Treatment?

Because the best Botox isn't about how much you inject. It's about understanding where not to.

Anti-wrinkle treatment may be one of the most commonly performed injectable treatments, but achieving a genuinely natural result requires an excellent understanding of facial anatomy, muscular function and balance.

Resolve Aesthetics is led by a registered healthcare professional, and the clinic's existing positioning emphasises advanced anatomy and injection training alongside individually tailored treatment.

Your Face Doesn't Suddenly Age.
Your Expressions Leave Their Mark.

Smile. Frown. Squint. Raise your eyebrows.

The expressions we make thousands of times gradually create folds within the skin.

Initially, these dynamic lines disappear again when your face relaxes. Over time, repeated movement combined with changes in collagen and skin quality can cause them to remain visible even when you're no longer making the expression.  These become static lines.

Anti-wrinkle treatment temporarily reduces selected muscle activity, allowing the overlying skin to appear smoother and helping to reduce the repetitive folding responsible for making expression lines increasingly established. Your existing Resolve guidance already makes this distinction and notes that earlier dynamic lines generally respond more readily than deeply established lines.

The goal isn't to remove every line.

It's to soften the ones that are ageing your expression.

What Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections use botulinum toxin type A, a prescription-only medicine that temporarily alters communication between the nerve and the targeted muscle.

Once injected into carefully selected facial muscles, the treatment reduces their ability to contract as strongly.

Less muscular contraction means less repetitive folding of the skin above it.

Over the following days, treated areas gradually begin to soften, creating a smoother and more rested appearance.

The effect is temporary, muscle activity gradually returns over time.

Your Anti-Wrinkle Treatment at Resolve

Every treatment begins with consultation and assessment.

Before injecting, we assess your face both at rest and during expression.

You may be asked to frown, smile, squint or raise your eyebrows so that we can see exactly how your muscles interact.

Your treatment is then individually planned.

Small amounts of botulinum toxin are precisely injected into selected muscles using a very fine needle. The procedure itself is relatively quick and most patients tolerate it extremely well.

Because botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, appropriate consultation and prescribing requirements apply before treatment.

Preventative Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

Do you need to wait until you have deep wrinkles?

No.  In fact, there's an important difference between treating a line and preventing one from becoming deeply established.

If a forehead line only appears when you raise your eyebrows, the skin is still able to return to its resting position.

Once that same line remains visible when your face is completely relaxed, it has become more established within the skin.

Reducing excessive repetitive movement before lines become deeply etched can form part of a considered preventative ageing strategy. This is also the approach reflected in Resolve's existing patient education on when to consider injectable wrinkle treatments.

That doesn't mean everyone should start Botox at a particular age.

There is no universal “right age.”

We treat what we see, not the number on your birthday.

How Does it Work?

Botox blocks the signals that the brain sends to the muscles it is injected into; temporarily preventing them from contracting, meaning that when your facial expression changes the overlying skin appears smoother and unwrinkled. Untreated muscles in the face work as normal allowing a normal range of expression.

Aftercare

Botox can take up to 14 days to take full effect.  Sometimes clients may require a top up for perfect results.  Anti wrinkle injections last between 3-6 months depending on the individual.  We advise you not to drink alcohol, engage in vigorous activity & avoid direct heat for 24 hours post treatment.  Full aftercare advice is given at your appointment.

Who Can't Have Anti-Wrinkle Treatment?

Botulinum toxin isn't appropriate for everyone.

Your medical history, medication, allergies and treatment suitability will therefore be assessed before treatment and, because botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine, prescribing requirements must also be satisfied.

Treatment will not be undertaken during pregnancy or breastfeeding or where there is an active infection within the proposed treatment area. Other medical circumstances may also mean treatment needs to be postponed or isn't appropriate for you.

If you're unsure, please, book a consultation rather than trying to determine suitability yourself.
